Research Interests
My reasearch interests vary across the numerous disciplines of the entire space of computer science. As our tech-based world goes more and more social (web - social web) i
am very interested in means of extracting and searching information that are spread around into this world (data,text mining - machine learning - information retrieval - search
engines).
But this temptation lead me to understand that each user is unique, thus extracting or seeking for information should be personalized (personalization - personalized
web).You might be aware of the example of searching information about java in world wide web (If you are a programmer you seek for material concerning java programming but if you are a traveller you most probably seek for information about Java Island).
Furthermore, another interest is the way all this information is stored,manipulated and transfered and in addition how can we benefit the most out of this infrastructure,or the way that these services that provide
the manipulation,storage and transfer of information could be
correlated in an abstract way in order to provide each user with further functionality (operating systems - ditributed systems - network workflows - cloud computing - etc..
etc..).
So as you imagine my reasearch interests in a list-based form (random order):
