Summary

I am a Software Engineer at Skroutz, the leading shopping comparison engine in Greece, with branches in Turkey and the UK.
As part of the User team at Skroutz, my work focuses on user personalization and data analysis on user interaction with the platform.
My research interests revolve around Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Social Computing.

Before joining Skroutz, I worked for Twitter as a Software Engineer and member of Trends and Events team under the supervision of Kostas
and for Telefonica Research in the context of User Modeling and Data Mining group.

I received my Ph.D. from the Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens,
with a specialization in Temporal Data Mining under the supervision of Prof. Dimitrios Gunopulos. While studying towards my Ph.D.
I was a member of the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) lab, among numerous exceptional people.
The title of my dissertation is "Temporal Search in Document Streams". I received my M.Sc. in "Advanced Information Systems" and
my B.Sc. in Informatics and Telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Update: In January '15 I joined the Skroutz Software Engineering team in Athens, Greece!
