Workshop Venue

The workshop will be held at the "Great Arsenali" of Chania, situated in the picturesque Venetian harbour of Chania. The Great Arsenali was built by Venice in 1600 and was used to make or repair boats, each Arsenali being able to hold one ship. It has recently been restored and now houses the Center for Mediterranean Architecture. See some pictures here.

From the airport you can get to the hotel by taxi only. It takes from 15 to 30 minutes and costs 15-20 Euros (no more than 20). In your hotel they will show you the way to the Great Arsenali. It is 3 minutes from Porto Venetziano and 5-7 from Kydon. Click here for a map providing directions on how to reach the Arsenali from the workshop hotels.
