Yannis Kopsinis was born in Patras, Greece, on May 1, 1973. He received the BSc degree from the department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Athens, Greece, in 1998 and his PhD degree in 2003 from the same department. From Jan. 2004 to Dec. 2005 he has been a research fellow with the Institute for Digital Communications, School of Engineering and Electronics, the University of Edinburgh, UK. From Jan. 2006 to Sep. 2009 he was a senior researcher in the same department. From Jan. 2012 to April 2013 he was a Ramón y Cajal Fellow, University of Granada, Department of Applied Physics, Granada, Spain. From May 2013 up to now he holds a Marie Curie IEF fellowship in the University of Athens His current research
interests include adaptive signal
processing, Adaptive Filters, Sparse Online Learning,
Subspace Tracking, Matrix Factorization/Dictionary Learning with application to fMRI and Electronic Signal Processing for Optical Communication Systems |
