My name is George Stamoulis and I am currently a PhD candidate and research associate under Prof. Manolis Koubarakis at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA), focusing on Semantic Web Technologies and Visualization of geospatial and temporal data. I am a member of the Knowledge Representation, Reasoning and Analytics (KRR&A) team, that belongs to the Management of Data, Information and Knowledge Group (MADgIK) of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications.
I have finished my MSc degree on "Advanced Information Systems", offered by the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of UoA. In my Master Thesis, I redesigned and implemented "Sextant", a visualization tool for linked data and well-known geospatial file formats. Before that, I obtained a Bachelor degree in "Information Technologies", from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of UoA.
I am always interested in new technologies, focusing on Web Development, and try to combine Computer Science with my Design Skills, to create user-friendly applications that make state-of-the-art technologies available to all users.
In parallel with my Master Studies I started working as a research assistant, specializing in semantic web technologies and visualization techniques over time-evolving linked geospatial data.
My Master was in Advanced Information Systems in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
I studied Computer Science in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of National and Kapodistrian the University of Athens, which offers a modern and rigorous course of study by professors who are leaders in several scientific fields.
